Mark Lawrenson has said he thinks his departure from the BBC was down to him being '65 and a white male'. He was told of format changes to this year's Football Focus back in March.
He definetly wasn't my favourite pundit but I reckon he's spot on.

I am fed up with having female "experts" commenting on football and sport in general. If they are black and disabled or played for England ladies team then they get even higher ratings.
Come to that I'm fed up with having women's football get coverage when it's very much a minority sport. Also American sport. How many people are really interested in sports coverage like this actual main headline "Rihanna to headline Super Bowl half-time show"
Very few I'll wager...
